Lisha’s Latest Investment:Velvet Deer Mushroom Factory
Lisha Fungi today launched its US$60 million intelligent velvet deer mushroom factory — the China’s largest dedicated facility for this premium variety. Spanning 100 acres with 200,000 m² of smart production space, the plant will produce 300,000 substrate blocks daily, marking the company’s strategic expansion into high-value mushroom varieties beyond king oyster.
The factory integrates 17 years of expertise with full automation — from processing to intelligent incubation. It will deploy proprietary grey oyster environmental algorithms to ensure consistent mass production quality.
CEO Sun Xiaotao stated, “This investment advances our multi-variety strategy, aiming to make grey oyster our second global flagship product.”
Currently reliant on small-scale seasonal farming, the global grey oyster market lacks standardized year-round supply. Lisha’s industrial approach is set to transform it into a stable global commodity.
Scheduled for completion in 18 months, the facility will boost annual output by ~60,000 tons, valued over US$150 million, while also serving as a global R&D and training hub for overseas expansion.
